Project:
The project: Self-paced learning for students of the SUNI technological platform (Digital Factory Innovation).
Solution:
Synergiz proposed a solution to respond in an innovative way to the problems of ENS de Rennes.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Remote Assist :
Synergiz provided HoloLens 2 and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Guides software to equip teachers and students to deliver educational content.
In groups of 4 to 6 people, students use their HoloLens 2s twice for 10 to 15 minutes during 4-hour hands-on sessions. The student equipped with HoloLens 2 manipulates and self-forms on the machine on which he is positioned while following the instructions, step by step, appearing in his field of vision through the HoloLens 2. The scene is also retransmitted in real time on a TV screen to the other students in the group, allowing them to follow the training independently.
Témoignage :
“The industry sectors are not always the most attractive, despite the really interesting functions and professions. We have applications, industries, where every day you’re asked to do different things, but we have a hard time attracting talent. Through these digital tools, we also want to make engineering more attractive.”
“We see a real application for the use of HoloLens 2 in teaching. It’s going to allow students to come in and experience the hardware on their own. The student is going to be able to use the HoloLens 2 before a class, discover technical vocabulary related to a machine environment, to then be able to come to PT (Practical Work) and be able to work more quickly on value-added points. The teacher is relieved of basic explanations and the student is self-training: it’s a time saver for everyone.”
Benefits:
This ergonomic and easy-to-use solution offers autonomous learning to students and relieves the teacher of basic or even repetitive training tasks.
These digital tools are also a source of motivation and attraction for young talents wishing to specialize in sectors such as industry or mechanics.
The solution saves time: self-taught students can work directly on value-added elements, and measurement means also allow to evaluate students and to get feedback on the quality of the educational content provided.
